Making the Most of My Life
The noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.
(Isa 32:8 NIV)
This week you are being encouraged to make several commitments. Making and keeping these “noble plans” will probably be very difficult for you. Life is busy. It is difficult to focus. And we simply will not always feel like doing something even as wonderful as spending time with God or a group of Christians.
And on top of all that, your “struggle” to do anything spiritual, “is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Eph 6:12 NIV). You have a spiritual enemy working in you and around you to stop you from doing anything for God, including God Times and Barnabas Group. So you had better be serious right now about doing these for God no matter how you feel or what happens.
You will do this by making “noble plans” and standing on those commitments. Think about many of the most important accomplishments and blessings in your life. Your education, career, marriage, children, ministry, etc. They all depended on making a commitment, a decision that required work and faithfulness. But it was worth it! And so it will be for any “noble plans” by which you “stand.”
If you are willing to commit to the following, please sign below.
During the next 8 weeks of this study I will do my best to:
- Love God by spending time with Him following the P.O.W.E.R. plan.
- Complete the weekly readings and projects of the study.
- Attend the weekly Barnabas Group times.
- I addition, I will never share personal things shared within the Barnabas Group without the person’s permission.

Now pray and ask God to help you be among “The noble [who] make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand” (Isa 32:8 NIV).
